Renowned campaign finance expert Trevor Potter will present "Money in Politics:  Democracy and Governance in Today's America," a program on campaign finance reform, election law, and the impact of money in politics on May 11, 2017 at 7:30 pm at the Lily Holt Reid Chapel at Lake Forest College, 555 N. Sheridan Road, Lake Forest, Illinois.

The event is co-sponsored by the League with the Adlai Stevenson Center on Democracy and the Office of Community Education at Lake Forest College. The event is complimentary and open to the public.

About Trevor Potter

Trevor Potter is the founder and president of the Campaign Legal Center. He is a former chairman of the Federal Election Commission. He is one of the country's most prominent and experienced campaign and election lawyers. He is also a Senior Adviser to the reform group Issue One, as well as head of the political law practice at the Washington firm of Caplin & Drysdale.

To many, Trevor Potter is perhaps best known for his appearances on the Colbert Report as the lawyer for Stephen Colbert’s super PAC, Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow, during the 2012 election.
