You won't need to practice your French to attend our Holiday Luncheon on Friday, December 2, at 10:45 am! We enjoyed Froggy's French Cafe so much last year, we decided to return. Also returning is Barry Bradford, who will be giving another lively and fascinating presentation. The subject is "Julia Child: Spy and Chef." Julia Child became the first television superstar chef with her French cuisine. Before that, however, Child was a top spy during World War II and, with her husband, was posted to various dangerous overseas locations. You won't want to miss this fascinating portrayal.
The cost is $50 per person. To reserve your spot, please mail a check to LWV-LF/LB Area, PO Box 645, Lake Forest, IL 60045. Checks should be made payable to LWV-IL Ed Fund. If you have any questions, please call Linda at 847-234-7069.
Froggy's is at 306 Green Bay Rd, Highwood. Parking is available around the corner in the library parking lot. You can then walk to Froggy's by taking a shortcut through the alley to the restaurant. Parking on the street is limited to two hours and Highwood police do issue tickets!
