The History Center of Lake Forest-Lake Bluff has extended an invitation to LWV-LF/LB members to this event. Members of our League may attend at the History Center member rate of $15.

In this living-history portrayal, actress and scholar Leslie Goddard, PhD, portrays suffragist Alice Paul, one of the most dynamic leaders in the fight to win the vote for women in the 1910s. An innovative and tireless worker, Paul arranged parades, organized the first picketing demonstrations outside the White House, lobbied politicians, and endured imprisonment for women's suffrage.

Ann Grant and Laurie Rose of LWV-LF/LB will also speak, delivering a short history of our local Leagues of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff.
